Sylvia Armes – Member for Saxon Ward Sylvia is married with two grown up sons and six grandchildren and has lived in Thetford for the past 54 years. Employment history includes working for Norfolk County Council, and Eccles Hall School. She first served on the Town and District Council in 1999 for 4 years. At the recent elections elected onto Town and District Councils. She is a Trustee of the Keystone Development Trust and also on the Patient Forum committee for School Lane surgery. Carl Clark – Member for Abbey Ward Came to Thetford in 2006 at first experiencing very difficult times, fell in love with the people and town and married a local girl in 2007. Lives on the Abbey Estate and works as a Pastoral Outreach Co-ordinator with the community at the Bishop’s Church of England School. Also works with local groups who specialise in caring for abused people. Carl aims to do his the best for Thetford and fight for local issues. Dennis Crawford - Member for Saxon Ward Born in Batimore, Maryland USA in 1950 . Dennis’s father served in the American Air Force This meant from an early age Dennis travelled extensively, finally settling in Thetford in 1972. Employment history included working for Baxter Healthcare and as a Catering Manager at the Sports Centre. He is a member of the Redcastle Furze Residence Association & a Governor of Raleigh Infant School. He enjoys living in Thetford where he thinks there is a good community spirit, and he is honoured to have been elected to serve on the Town Council at a time of change and growth for the town. Corinne Fulford - Member for Castle Ward Corinne was born in Thetford and attended Thetford Grammar School. She began her career at Lloyds Bank in Thetford and then ran her own Independent Financial Advice business for 14 years. She now works for her partner’s accountancy practice. Corinne also manages the Dad’s Army & Charles Burrell Museums and is intensely proud of the volunteers that maintain these amazing organisations. In 2010 she helped set up Leaping Hare CIC, an events company that funds the voluntarily run Thetford Tourist Information Centre. She is a firm believer in the power of community working and is passionate about Thetford. John Harding - Member for Guildhall Ward Married and lives on the Admirals Estate. John has with two grown up daughters and three grandchildren all living in Thetford. Town Councillor for 8 years and an ex governor of Admirals Junior School. Served as Mayor of Thetford 2008/09. After serving 26 years in the Royal Air Force put roots down in Thetford. Terry Jermy - Member for Saxon Ward Terry is 26 years old and joined the council in July 2008 following a by-election. He was born and raised in Thetford attending Queensway Junior School and then Charles Burrell High School. He completed his a-levels at Thetford Sixth Form College and Norwich City College before working as a Community Worker at Keystone Development Trust and more recently as the Meet Up Cafe Manager for the Benjamin Foundation. Following his election to Breckland Council in May 2011, Terry resigned from his full-time work to focus on local politics but continues to work on a self-employed basis for a number of local charities, particularly the Thetford Community Association co-ordinating a range of projects to support children and young people. At the Town Council he is Chairman of the Personnel Committee and Vice Chairman of the Amenities Committee. He also serves on the Finance Committee. Robert Kybird - Member for Guildhall Ward Robert is a local business man born and educated in Thetford, now in his third term as Town and District Councillor. He was Chairman of the Town’s planning Committee for a number of years and takes a strong interest in many aspects of local life having a particular interest in the Town’s history and archaeology. He is the elected Town Council Appointee and “Heritage Champion” on the Moving Thetford Forward Board. At district level he is appointee to the Norfolk Archaeology Advisory Committee, Norfolk Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee, The Maharajah Duleep Singh Centenary Trust and the District appointee as a Governor of Thetford Grammar School. Terence Lamb - Member for Castle Ward Born and bred in Thetford, had a career in teaching. He has been a Town and District Councillor since 1963. Served as Mayor of Thetford 1970/1971 and 1989/1990. Bryan Skull – Member for Guildhall Ward Bryan has lived in Thetford for 45 years and has four grown up children. Past Chair of Governors at Barnham CVC Primary School. Dennis Sully – Member for Saxon Ward (Born in Wales where he worked in the Welsh & Scottish Steel Industry. Whilst in Scotland Dennis gave time to the Residents Association, Scouting, Disabled Social and Sports Club and Young Enterprise. In 1998 he moved to Thetford and established a Local Residents Association, served on the board of Governors for Charles Burrell High School for nine years.
